Rising Idle

Tach Stopped working for a bit today

Found this post High Idle When Engine Warm mentions checking the decel valve. Now to find that and check, turning down the idle worked but will it start when cold?

Finally got the car running correctly 2/16/2009

Finally solved the stumbling problem. Turned out I had a couple of wires crossed. The purple and green wires that come from the MSD that connect to the "green" wire to the distributor were switched. At the moment don't even know how there are set now :) but I switched the way there were and presto it ran great.

But now, 2/20/2009 I suddenly get a high idle about 2000rpm once the car starts up.
